“Our children attended the Creative Children Day Home for around five years. Our children were always greeted so warmly by the staff and made to feel that they were valued and cared for. We trusted Sabira whole-heartedly and appreciate her for being such an instrumental caregiver when our children were so young. We are grateful for her dedication to the children and the countless ways she goes above and beyond to become a second family to all of the families at the day home. The Creative Child Day Home continues to hold a special place in our hearts and is the source of countless fond memories..”
Backup Care Arrangements
Creative Child Day Home Agency strives to provide uninterrupted care for children. The agency ensures backup care / alternate arrangements for the day home programs when a family day home educator is unavailable to care for children. It is not guaranteed and depends on educators’ willingness to maintain ratios and licensed space availability.
Agency Procedure for Backup Care
- Families are advised of the backup care policy at registration and must understand that they may be required to access backup care in certain situations. There are three options:
- The family may choose to arrange for backup care.
- Day home educator arranges backup care approved by the agency when she cannot care for the children.
- The agency helps families make suitable backup arrangements with other agency-approved FDH educators.
- The agency has a list of other FDH educators and their contact information in the area.
- The parent must give written prior approval to all backup care arrangements.
- Should the parent be subsidized, the agency pays only agency-approved backup educators. Subsidy funds cannot be issued to the parent.
- Back-up care planning takes into consideration family needs. e.g., transportation to and from school.
